Country Club Celebration

Samantha knew Chris's sister from her good ole college days at James Madison University. GO DUKES! Since Chris and his fiance Kelsey would be in town planning their wedding, we just had to meet them for coffee at our favorite local spot, Front Porch Cafe.

Chris and Kelsey were planning a Spring wedding at Corolla's finest country club, The Currituck Club. They were toying with the idea of whether or not to hire a day of coordinator on top of what the club already offered and we were honored to be considered. Don't even get us started on why you must always opt for at least a day of coordinator no matter the circumstances! Needless to say, when they hired us we were thrilled!

The Harold's were married on a pristine May day. Slightly over 100 guests parked at the country club and were transported down to the waterfront ceremony site by a beautiful white trolley. After being dropped off, they walked over fairway number seven, where they were welcomed with a glass of champagne and a breathtaking view. After the bride and groom's private first look and a multitude of photos oceanside, the ceremony began with the sweet sounds of an acoustic duo singing "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran. The bride stunned in what we referred to as the "perfect Outer Banks wedding dress." It was a long, white gown, that glided along with the bride's movement, effortlessly fluid with the wind. The couple tied the knot under a circular huppah adorned with a cluster of florals, lush greens and white draping.

After the ceremony guests were welcomed back to the clubhouse with a wooden calligraphy sign welcoming them to the party. Guests enjoyed an outdoor cocktail hour followed by a clear top tented reception. Round dining tables were topped with floor length linens, clusters of oyster shells and an array of romantic pillar candles. After a sit down dinner, guests were invited to drink under the shining bistro bulbs, boogie to the live band under the veranda, play corn hole, or indulge in any piece of pie they could dream of at the pie bar. The night ended with guests dancing in the rain and sending off the newlyweds with a sparkler exit.

The Harold's wedding was a mix of well thought out, organic, simplistic, boho perfection that we had a blast being a part of. Get lost in the gorgeous details below!
