What's better than getting married with your toes in the sand? We'd argue that getting married with your toes on the weathered wood slabs that make up an iconic pier is just as good. Good news for those interested in either - one of our favorite Outer Banks venues, Jennette's Pier, offers both options.
Amie and Chris chose the latter, and it was absolutely perfect for them. They went with a traditional beach vibe, which was extremely fitting. We're talking nautical navy linens, buoys that doubled as table numbers, lighthouse lanterns, life saving bottle top poppers and the list goes on. These two kept it all American, and all Outer Banks.
We were fortunate to be this couple's day of coordinators. One thing we worry about with day of coordination is whether or not we're going to mesh well with the couple. Though we almost always have an initial meeting to make sure we feel like it's a good fit, we don't always get to develop as deep of a relationship as we would with say our full service couples, who we've normally been working with for over a year by the time their wedding rolls around. With Amie, it was quite different. She was so organized (a planners dream!) and kind, and we knew right away we were going to click. But when we saw Amie in her wedding dress (Taylor's same wedding dress!) it all made sense. Then, our jaws dropped when she changed into her reception dress - the same dress as Samantha's rehearsal dinner dress! It was fate to say the least!
This wedding was a blast. All around wonderful family and friends who were all there one hundred and ten percent to support these two making things official. Beautiful weather, great food and drinks, and an awesome band to top it off. It was a night to remember. Amie and Chris, you two are the perfect fit and we were honored to be a part of your puzzle! We wish you many years of happiness as Mr. and Mrs. Doctor Frederick!
