Corolla Chic

We may be going on and on about this one by now, but we love working with couples for a long time. Seriously people. When we are able to get to know you, what you like, what you don't like, it's easier for us to manage your wedding day. We know that sounds strange, but it's true.

That leads us to Amira. First off, is that not a gorgeous name? The girl behind the name is just as breath taking and she brought her Beyonce on her wedding day. One of our first encounters with her is vivid. Samantha was on the phone with her and her fiancé at the time was trying to cook fresh lobsters and had set the smoke alarm off. Amira was laughing and cursing about it. Without a doubt this just set the tone for them. Classy. Just straight up classy and fabulous, but with an edge of complete fun light heartedness, like pour us a drink, because we don't take ourselves too seriously.

We worked with Amira for over 12 months. She lived in NYC and had a vision for what she wanted for her wedding day and it gave us all the feels. With countless emails we were able to assist her in finding the right vendors, develop layouts, edit proposals, and overall just be her eyes and ears on the ground, while providing guidance to make sure her vision could be logistically brought to life.

Amira and JJ were married on the beach in Corolla, NC. A custom wood pallet runner was built for them, alongside two wooden pews adorned with overflowing floral arrangements. The tunes of acoustic jazz filled the ears of guests as the forecasted rain held off and the couples aunt pronounced them as husband and wife in front of 130 family and friends. Guests were welcomed over the dune deck to a poolside cocktail hour complete with a shot of tequila indicating where they'd each be seated. The event home reception included multiple 30+ foot long dining tables dressed with white overlays, lush green garlands, candles, bamboo style seating, a cigar bar and romantic champagne colored uplighting. The bridal party wore different styles of white dresses and black tuxes all while complimenting the couples modern, sophisticated, chic style.

With a station style dinner, full service bar, three tiered wedding cake, late night treats to include chicken and waffles and milk and cookies while dancing continued well into the evening hours, this wedding sure was one to remember. Amira and JJ, thank you both for being so effortlessly entertaining. Watching you both embrace every single moment of your wedding day was simply amazing for us. We wish you a lifetime of happiness and are so happy we could play a part in your love story.
