What's better than one wedding? Two! It's common for military couples to tie the knot and then TIE THE KNOT; aka have the wedding they always wanted. Let's just say Nikki and Chris didn't skimp when it came to wedding number dos. This one was a special one for us, because it was Samantha's best childhood friend. The great thing about it was that since Coastyle offers two full time planners per wedding anyway, Samantha was able to take on her role as bridesmaid, and Coastyle was still able to fully execute the wedding! We just brought on an assistant (we love you Amber!) and BAM!

Nikki and Chris were married at the fabulous Grand Ritz Palm in Duck, NC. The palm is an event home unlike any other (if you ask us) on the island. Once you step inside it's like you've just slapped on your wrist band to the all inclusive resort vacation you've been waiting for all year. With sound views, a private beach, pier, pool, bar, cafe lighting, and all the equipment rentals you need for your wedding already included, it's a great option for both your vacation and your wedding.

With Nikki being a school teacher and Chris being in the Marines, they are just the perfect match. And when the perfect match plans a wedding together, it shows! The event began with slightly over 100 guests being transported in a white trolley to the home, where they were greeted poolside with champagne before taking a walk down the pier to the private beach for the ceremony. The beach was decorated with a homemade arbor built by the brides brother, white chairs, lush florals and a sound front view. After a traditional ceremony, guests were welcomed back to the pool where there was an open bar, butler passed appetizers and a DJ. Guests were then asked to take their seats at long dining tables outside on two different levels of the home. Tables were adorned with white linens, grey cheesecloth runners, lush garlands mixed with greenery and florals, gold rimmed tableware and mercury glass votives. Guests spent the hot summer evening drinking, dancing, and celebrating the new Mr. and Mrs. Alfaro.

Shortly after their wedding, Chris was deployed for nine months and Nikki is still patiently awaiting his safe arrival home. To Nikki and Chris and all the military families who are separated from one another for the better of our country, we salute you. Your marriages will stand the test of time!
