Lifelong Love

We think it's pretty safe to say that whether you want to admit it or not, everyone dreams about young love. When you're young, and haven't found it yet, you fantasize about it. When you're old and grey, you yearn for the days that were once filled with its spontaneous magic. Lucky for us, our clients Mandi and Jared encompassed young love and we had a front row seat. Their wedding was like The Notebook - fun, free spirited, romantic, and heart breaking all at the same time. But the best part was that it made you believe that some things really can and do last forever.

Mandi and Jared traveled all the way from Omaha, Nebraska to host their wedding on the Northern beaches of the Outer Banks. On an overcast day full of scattered showers, Mandi and Jared prepped for their wedding day inside a gorgeous, modern, oceanfront event home. With both a bridal suite and mens parlor onsite, the couple was able to get ready among each of their attendants on separate floors of the house. After a first look, exchanging of love letters, and bridal party portraits, 100 of their closest friends and family were welcomed over the dunes to an oceanfront ceremony. With white chairs and a modern a-frame archway, adorned with neutral florals, the feel was that of minimal organic beauty, placing the spotlight on the ocean in the background.

After one of the most heartfelt ceremonies we have yet to witness, guests were welcomed to a poolside cocktail hour complete with lively acoustic music, hors d'oeuvres, and beverages. After the couple danced to their first song as husband in wife in the rain, guests were seated at long banquet style tables and offered up fresh barbecue with all the fixins' for a casual Southern style dinner. The atmosphere was sheer romance, complete with cafe lighting, a neutral color palette, and accents of crochet, macrame, and mercury glass. After many heartfelt speeches from friends and family, guests dove into a tower of delicious donuts and were then welcomed to dance the night away with an endless supply of champagne on hand.

We were lucky enough to work with Mandi and Jared for a long time. Though their wedding seemed effortless, the hard work and dedication Mandi put into the planning did not go unnoticed on our end. She thought through every detail, pouring her heart and soul into every aspect of her wedding day. From the place cards, to linen colors, to a special boxed up dinner for her and her hubby post wedding, nothing will ever compare to the ways in which Mandi sought out to purposefully honor her mother. The most thoughtful of tributes were given to her, an aura that was felt in the air by everyone throughout the entire evening. Mandi, your mother would be so proud of you. You are an amazing young woman that will make an even more amazing mother yourself come Spring. We wish you two all the best, and hope that your love will continue to feel forever young.
